This is a 1955 boat that has been restored. One of 55 made. The boat is all about that tail fin and the use of fiberglass by Chris Craft way back then. Others were making all fiberglass boats by then, but Chris Craft was the king of boats at that time and they were, WOOD. So to try their hand they made a wood boat but put a stylish section of fiberglass on these to get field experience.

Expensive. High powered. Impractical. Got all the fella's hearts pumping. That is what one of the things that I love about boating.

Is it about ride and handling in this one? I do not think so. She is a looker. A feast for your eyes.

That's an awesome looking boat! Is the rudder wood or does it just look that way?

My favorite Chris-Craft of all time. I would love to be able to get my hands on a 21' with the 285hp Cadillac.

Worth noting that they also made a 18' version as well. In total, there were 108 built, with 43 being the 18'.

Nice looking. Very nice. Good restoration job. Someone spent some time and bucks on that.

I love the old woodies. Wouldn't own one but they are lots of fun to drool over.
