No problem, sorry I attributed you with something you didn't say - I did it quick and went from my, obviously incorrect, memory.

BTW - yes, they've been able to fix unibody cars properly for a long time - at least 25 years - However the body shop you take it to had better have the proper frame rack, and some of them require specific tooling for your individual car.

If it was a mom and pop shop, they probably didn't have the proper tooling. If done right, they can get it dead on the factory "hard points".

Repo maybe?

There have been more than a few times that I have seen people take the damaged vehicle and the insurance check to a dealership and trade off the vehicle.

It's also possible that the owner didn't have insurance and sold it to the place listing it for cash. Or it was repo'd. All sorts of strange things can happen.

I also notice that it has one OEM taillamp and one A/M clear lens jobber.

The marks on the front bumper lead me to belive they hit a low to hip-high object almost dead center. The discoloration on the left side of the front bumper is from it bending in, I think. I can't tell if the hood doesn't latch because the hood is buckled or because the radiator support has been shoved back. I am guessing it's because of the radiator support. They are aluminum in those trucks and partially stamped, partially "tubular" and can't be repaired when damaged anymore than slightly.
If it just needed the front bumper cover, the bumper reinforcement (there is metal under there), radiator support, air bag stuff, then yes it's actually an easy fix. But if it needs a hood, grille, headlamps (they break at the mounting brackets, that you can't see in the pictures), right fender (I can't tell if it's damaged in the picture), left fender reapir (it looks bent at the front lower corner), frame rail end repair/bumper brackets, A/C condenser, Radiator, fan blade (the radiators get pushed back into the fans a lot), then it's getting expensive.
Owner could have paid cash for the truck originally, chose to not have collision on it, and is just dumping it now that it's wrecked. Not sure why he took out the right taillamp, though!
